Recap of trip to Baltimore

Well friends I’m writing you from a Boeing 737 as i fly Texas bound across the U.S. I have been in Baltimore, MD for the past week. Thru relationship God opened a door for me to speak at a mission conference up here. I was honored, and so encouraged to get the chance to partner with a couple of other great young men of God and share about what God is doing on the earth today. It’s so much fun being used by the Father! This weekend I was also so blessed by affirmation of my giftings. I’m always a little “gun shy” about teaching in huge corprate sittings, but I’m learning very fast that it’s something God is equiping me for.

Its always exciting for me to get the chance to worship with a different part of the body of Christ. I believe the diversity in the body is increditibly beautiful. I love sharing what God is doing in my life, and hearing about what God is doing in others. Thank you DPC church for allowing me the chance to invest into you, and for your great hospitable smiles and the God in you that encouraged me.

I wanna challenge you all to grab a friend, family, or a fellow church member you don’t know so well. Look them in the eyes for a moment, even if it feels strange. Share with eachother what you see. Tell them that you see Jesus in them. Paul wrote that we should encourage eachother to love and good deeds. Let’s try doing so in a radical manor over the coming weeks.

This past monday I was able to retreat to Washington D.C. I spent several hours Monday just praying in the city and listening to the Father. In the evening I got the chance to reconnect with a few old friends. Wow! This again was a super awesome time of hearing how God is transforming the hearts of people. I was blessed by my friends at Bound4life.com with a sweet historic condo to myself right on capital hill Monday night, so restful and beautiful.

Thanks so much to everyone this week. Im excited for what God has in store! When I return to YWAM Tyler I’ll be jumping right back into my “normal” run of things, if you could say something such as normal. Katrina and I will also be preparing for our 2010 housing transition. Please be praying for us. We are still in alot of the grey area still about where we will be living in the coming months. We also are in need of raising our monthly support ($) for the housing transition, and 2010 ministry vision. I hope to be posting, and mailing out more details this month.

Im going to leave you all with some snapshots I took with my cell phone while in maryland and DC.

Blessings,
Rodger.
