Amazing Adventure! This past week and a half on the road has been amazing. I have had the chance to teach about missions in some really cool churches, and small groups. I am so grateful for the incredible hospitality and encouragement. This trip has been such a blessing. The Lord spoke to me at a young age that I would be a teacher of His word. Its amazing to be on this journey now, and thats exactly what I am doing. I guess I’ve been doing it for over 5 years now, but I’m just now seeing fruit.

The past three days I spent visiting YWAM Denver. I was able to connect with some really good friends, and a mentor from my School of Worship I did in 2007. I was also faced with some challenging opportunities to encourage friends who are in tough situations. My awesome father in-law Frank always says “God uses people” when there is a “difficult” situation. I don’t think I’ve understood how profound that statement is until now. Now matter what organization, church, job, or mission your with God uses people. Because He does so we get the chance to experience relational drama, discomfort, heartbreak, and rejection. I don’t believe God causes all these things. He did give man free will in Genesis, so man has the freedom to make good and bad decisions. Thru the tough situations we get a chance to have our character challenged, and maturity is often a result. What I am trying to say is when we have problems, or challenges with others. It is an opportunity to learn something, and grow. We won’t always agree with everyone we come across, or work with. We still need to be a follower of Christ and represent the character of God while walking it out.

Currently I am writing you from the beautiful Rocky Mountain town of Estes Park, CO. I am participating in a North American YWAM conference called “Go Conference.” The focus is the unreached, and roads less traveled by missions agencies. We gather about 200 often times a lot more students. Then we share about what God is doing around the globe, and we share about the hard places that still haven’t heard the news of Jesus. Many missionaries from closed nations, and other hard places around the world are here sharing. The heart of the conference is to see missionaries “GO” to every nation, and all people groups reached with the truth of Christ. To say the least I am having a blast!

Thanks for tuning in and reading about our journeys in missions. Katrina is in Tyler at the campus working with the ESL school. Everything is going well there. I am very excited to return home Saturday, and be back in the arms of my sweety! Please continue to pray for my safety as I still have many miles to travel. Also Katrina and I are in very difficult time in our lives financially. Would you please be praying with us for the Lords provision for our ministry and living needs.

Thank you! May the Lord bless you,

Rodger Kistler
